Help us continue the first German Enrichment Program at a Public School in New York City!

We are the parent initiative that founded the first German Enrichment Program in New York City at P.S. 18 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2017. Now, 50 Kindergarteners are learning German during regular school hours and the program will be expanded through 5th grade over time.

To get the program started, we are relying on an external teacher provided by the German Language Institute Goethe. The school was able to fund the first $2,000 of the program. However, for this year, we will need an additional $7,000 to finance the program. Next year the school hopes to be able to hire a German teacher so all German classes can be taught in house and German can be offered to more students.

All donations that we receive in excess of our goal will be used to provide German classes in higher grades and/or to extend the German theater program run by the Galli Theater.
